Excel Map Reflection

I think Washington State History was actually interesting. The project was pretty easy to make, but also somehow complicated. It was easy for me to insert comments, add hyperlinks, and add pictures as backgrounds. It was hard to pick right pictures for the backgrounds because sometimes the font doesn’t show. I think I did a little well on my project.

Chapter 3

In chapter 3, the thing I will most remember is how the Indians lived. I learned that some Indians lived in longhouses or tepees. I also learned about how the hunted, built stuff to survive, and even their spirit world. This is important to know in our state’s history because some people still live like that and we don’t have to think it’s weird or we can learn from what they’ve done to help us when we need the tools they used.

Chapter 2

In chapter two, the things that I’ll remember most are the plants and animals that live in Washington’s different biomes. What I learned is that different animals like cougars, bears, elk, squirrels, and other animals live in different parts of Washington because they have adapted to that part’s environment. That is the same with the different plants like the Western Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maple, and other plants. This was an important part of our state’s history because the more we know about what’s living in those parts of Washington, then we can understand how they live and we can watch what we do so we don’t destroy where they live or ruin their environment.

Chapter 1

In chapter one, the thing that I’ll remember most is probably the Scablands. What I learned is that Bretz was the first person to come up with the idea about a giant flood that happened on the Scablands. Also, the physical features that are there are because of more than one megafloods that happened there. This was an important part of our state’s history because if that happened a long time ago, then maybe it will happen again and we need to study it to know how to prevent it from happening again.

The Crusades Research

What I liked about my paper was how I added color into it because I think purple, gray, white, and black look good together. If I could change it, I would search for better details and add them to it.

I think wikispaces was helpful because it’s a good way to find other papers instead of having to look for it in files. I also think it was helpful because you can start out organized and keep it organized. I think Diigo is okay because it is easier to take notes with, rather than taking notes by writing them on paper. I think it is kind of useless too, though, because when I highlight information I want, it doesn’t take all of the writing. And I don’t really use my notes I highlighted.

Islam Poster and Dabbleboard

Good things about Dabbleboard was that you and your partner could both be working on your project and you could also chat with them. Some bad things about Dabbleboard was that it was a little hard to use. I’ve learned that Muslims are similar to Jews and Christians because they ask for donations or sometimes give some of their wealth to people who are poor and need it.

Muslims are like people who know martial arts, they fight for their own protection.

Muhammad Book

I think I did pretty good on the Muhammad Book because I did all the requirements. But I think I could’ve done better by adding a little more information on my summaries or added some stuff to make it look better. I also think it took a while to finish because of coloring.

Ten Tips for Living in the Arabian Peninsula

If you are traveling to the Arabian Peninsula, here are some tips for the different environments like oases, coastal plains, deserts, and mountains.

You can survive in the desert by bringing a lot of water, wearing breezy clothes that are light colored, and bringing some herds of camel, goats, or other helpful animals.

Letter to my parents

Dear mom or dad,

I learned a lot from social studies class. I’ve learned about what happened during the medieval times like how the Black Death killed millions in Europe and other places. I think I’ve done well in social studies class because I listen and finish all my work. I think I also haven’t done so well because I’m not doing a very good job at taking notes and studying for my quizzes. Next trimester, I am going to try to take better notes and try to study for my quizzes.

How The Market Works

I’ve been investing on markets that I know like, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, Yahoo, etc.

Somehow I am doing well even though I don’t know what I’m doing.
